You know, I wrote a number of strips this week that I "Wanted to do" but also think are "Not very good". Those ideas seem pretty contradictory in the absence of me wanting to do strips that aren't very good. My best guess is that sometimes you have a joke in you that you feel like telling, and won't be happy till you get it out, even if it is a flop before you even start it.
