News: The moral of this story is I should never ever say "the script for this is done" There is always something to fidgit with, and any one thing that you touch can set off a cascade of other changes. This will be the last update while I'm out of the country. I'll be flying back to America Wednesday, and through the miricle of tme travel (or time zones, I get those mixed up sometimes I'll manage to arrive in Arizona the same day despite spending nearly 24 hours in transit. Oh how I wish I could allow one of my ancestors to take my place and experience this miricle of the future in my place. I didn't get as many comics up while gone as I hoped, but I'm still glad to have been able to work on and put something online while I've been gone rather than put out 6 weeks of silence. I really can't wait to get back to using pencils and pens though. There are definite benefits to an all digital medium, but I miss the feel of the pen and the soothing nature of the million pen strokes that go into a background that just is not replicated with stylus and screen. I'm also just getting fed up somehow with not having to pay attention to details. I can pretty much lay down things in any order I like so it's easy to just add in things like the bomb at the last minute, and that just feels wrong somehow. Like I really don't have to consider the full composition when I'm starting out. And in large part I end up taking advanage of that since penciling out the full image in all it's details is still tricky even at the triple resolution I generally have been working at. Since my pencil line is just a mess of pixels, particularly if I zoom in, it's hard to sort out what's going on in busy areas where there might be swords, necks, bombs, rocks, cuts, and feet for example. | |||||
